If Dr. Jeff Tulett recommends a dental crown for your tooth, CEREC technology can be used to create the restorations in our office. At Hardin Family Dental, CEREC is used to save you time and provide you with quality restorations, like dental crowns.

The CEREC system allows our dentist to design and create quality, customized restorations that are completely metal free in just one appointment. CEREC’s CAD/CAM technology and 3D photography aid in the digital design of the restoration. A milling unit is used to create the crown.

When you come in for a dental restoration appointment, your tooth will first be prepped for the procedure. The tooth is then scanned for a digital impression which is stored as a 3D model. CEREC software gives our dentist the approximate shape of your future dental restoration, which can then be adjusted for a perfect fit. Our milling machine is used to carve the restoration out of a ceramic block. Once the restoration is complete, the fit and color will be checked, any necessary adjustments will be made, and the restoration will be permanently bonded to your tooth.
